Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Final Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 ReviewThe Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 comes in three displays; the 7 inch, 8 inch and 10.1 inch. Below is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 review of the three.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch

The 7 inch tablet debuted on 7th July and preorders began on June 25th. It comes with a 1,024X 600 pixel resolution TFT display and 8GB storage. It also features an external microSD card slot. The LCD screen has decent brightness and contrast. It however has a high reflectivity which makes it difficult to use in sunlight. It is slim and weighs about 300 grams which makes it very easy to handle. It comes with the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS which is not the latest version. The good thing is that it comes with the latest version of the TouchWiz feature that is common in most Samsung’s smartphones. Although it does not have the Multi-window feature, you can still run several apps and switch back and forth between them using the task switcher.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0

This version of the Samsung Galaxy tab fits easily in one hand and weighs 11.1 ounces. It has a sleek design what with the narrow strips of white bezel surrounding the 8 inch display. The display has a 1280X800 resolution. The colors are brighter although the screen does have a few reflections when used in direct sunlight. It comes with several apps and Google services such as Google Now, Play Music, Google maps and Google+. Users can have access to more than 700, 000 TV shows, movies, songs, e-books, games and apps through Google Play. It comes with 16GB of storage unlike the Galaxy tab 3 7.0 which has 8GB storage. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera which is able to capture sharp images. You can also record 720p videos. The front camera has a resolution of 1.3 megapixels which makes it quite useful for video chats if you have decent lighting. In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual core Samsung Exynos 4 processor. This makes it much more responsive even with several apps running simultaneously. Its average battery life is 8 hours 39 minutes when using Wi-Fi

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

The latest entrant into the galaxy tab 3 series is the 10.1. It features a 1.6 GHz Atom with clover trail architecture which is a huge difference from the usual ARM based devices we are normally exposed to. In terms of design, this tablet is not that different from the others. It is lightweight and fits easily in one hand. It features a 3.2 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front one. The display is around 1280X800which is not an impressive resolution. It has the Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean OS and TouchWiz Nature UX experience. Despite it being the first to have the 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, its performance does not outshine the other tabs. It is less responsive than the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. It also does not have the Multi-view split screen multitasking feature.

All the tablets are excellent and come with thin light designs. You can enjoy many software features but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 seems to take the crown and makes a better buy than the 7.0 or the 10.1. A tablet which has a 7 inch display is considered too small while one that has a display of over 9 inches is considered too big. The 8 inch display is much more acceptable. What’s more is that the Galaxy tab 3 8.0 has a higher performance and more features than the other two. Article posted by Billy Brown, July 24, 2013 originally at Galaxy Tab 3 Review.

Animal Planet Mermaids Documentary Draws Record Number of Viewers

Animal Planet Mermaids Hoax

Mermaids Documentary‘Oh sweet sirens of the sea, how much the world does long for Ye’. While Animal Planet managed to achieve a record number of viewers for their most recent Mermaid documentary, there’s definitely a tongue in cheek attitude behind the project that deserves at least a degree of appreciation for pulling the whole stunt off. As much as the 3.6 million viewers who tuned into the documentary may have been hoping to get a good check out of Wanda’s fins, the fact is that the project was little more than a publicity stunt that has, weirdly, actually worked. Following up from last years Mermaid: Body Found, this episode promised not just startling new footage but also the support of respected marine biologists in the production of the show. This was enough to get the viewers interested, at least in a core demographic – it is estimated that half of the shows viewers were part of the influential 25-54 year old group (who tend to decide what goes on the tv). The show followed on from the first episode, and while promising much actually delivered very little of any significant note. Most of the pictures used were so ridiculously out of focus they could as well have been shot on a polaroid back in the early ’50s, making even the most dedicated Mermaid aficionado start to smell something a little, well, fishy. Even more so were the alluded to claims that one had actually been captured (detained?), yet for some unspecified reason it could not be displayed to the world. Right…. Maybe it’s because Mermaids have generally swam under the conspiracy theory radar for so long that people have suddenly thought to themselves – ‘hey, I forgot about the whole half lady half fish people, that sounds cool!’. While they have been a feature in popular folklore for many hundreds of years, Animal Planet were quite happy to allude that their presence has been known for a long time and is being kept under close government secrecy. Presumably the U.S government, of course, just like that whole Roswell incident that has itself now become a popularly believed fact despite a glaring lack of any real evidence. Animal Planet MermaidsEagle eyes viewers may have noticed though that there is a very quick little disclaimer in the most recent Mermaid hoax documentary that declared that the show is based upon ‘science theory’. What, exactly is the difference between this and science fiction? Sadly, the fact is pretty much nothing – much like Bigfoot and the Yeti, experts would love to make folklore come to fruition but are just as likely to stumble across King Kong or Godzilla. Perhaps it’s a little unfair to just accuse Animal Planet of making a fraudulent hoax upon their unsuspecting viewers. With all respect to the channel, if such a monumental discovery had been made it’s unlikely they would get such a scoop ahead of the rest

of the worlds media – but surely the vast majority of people who tuned into the show realized this already. But hey, theres nothing wrong with a little escapism once in a while, but maybe Animal Planet ought to get back to what it really does best.

New Call of Duty Announced, Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Call Of Duty Ghosts Announcement

“The ghosts are real”, Activision claims, and that’s all the gaming world needs to get amped up for the next Call of Duty title.

Call of Duty really needs no introduction. It’s a franchise that represents one of the most intense gaming experiences to be found anywhere on the planet. This is particularly true for its online aspect. It’s because of Activision’s attention to quality in every regard that gamers

treat even the slightest tidbit on a new CoD game is treated as gospel.

If past hits are an indication of anything, Call of Duty: Ghosts is going to be a brutal, ridiculously addictive melee.

*Update! Already the #1 seller on Amazon for FPS shooter games in 2nd day of pre-order.

Coming This November

You have to hand it to Activision for generating this kind of excitement months before the game is actually released. It all started with a simple image of a skull-patterned balaclava, which any CoD fan knows is the insignia of Simon “Ghost” Riley. We haven’t seen Simon Riley since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, so there’s been a lot of speculation in regards to what he’s been up to between games. Activision threw more fuel on the fire by changing the bio on CoD’s Twitter page to “#CODGhosts is real”, and then encouraging followers to re-tweet if they were ready for the next generation of Call of Duty. Providing fans with a link to the game’s official Facebook page only serves to pump up the anticipation even further.

Pre-orders for the game are currently available, and the numbers for that are already considerably impressive. It’s important to remember that this is the same franchise that generated a billion dollars in sales (for Call of Duty: Black Ops II) at the end of 2012. Anyone who pre-orders the latest installment through GameStop will get a beautiful double-sided poster. Those who pre-order as a GameStop PowerUp Rewards subscriber will receive an exclusive weapon camo with a Call of Duty: Ghosts theme. This weapon camo will be available for use in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Steam has been helping along the energy running towards the game’s release date at the end of 2013. A promotional sale was held, in which players could try the game for free. Those who liked the game enough to want to purchase their own copy, and this was a considerable number of people, received a staggering 33% discount.

A New COD Experience

Some might think that it’s a bit unfair to place such expectations on the new Call of Duty title. Fans of the franchise would be inclined to strongly disagree with any naysayers. At least a small part of the series popularity can be attributed to smart marketing tactics by Activision. This latest version certainly seems to be following in those footsteps, utilizing social media and freebies to entice potential new fans, and keep the faithful as devoted as ever.

And as for whether or not the game itself will live up all these lofty expectations, we’ll be able to find out for ourselves before long.

Rolling out their brand-new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in just a few short weeks, this new Android tablet is poised to dominate the marketplace just like Samsung’s Galaxy S3

smart phone world. Next-generation hardware with the latest Android operating system software Everything about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is as close to cutting edge as you’re going to find in the commercial world, including the fantastic hardware that drives the brand-new software. We are talking about a brand-new dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 8 to 16 GB of storage (with the option to expand up to 64 gig with a dedicated SD card), dual cameras on the front and rear of the tablet – the rear one being a three megapixel camera and the front facing camera a 1.3 megapixel solution – and a whole host of other truly cutting-edge innovations. What is most surprising about the hardware that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will bring to the table is the inclusion of a 4000mAh battery – promising ridiculous battery life and usage times in between charges, something that the Android tablet world has been desperately searching for almost since the day they were released. All of this hardware would be wasted without the brand-new Android operating system, one of the few non-Google branded products to rollout with the latest iteration. Everything is snappier, better organized, and overall more useful – but you’ll also have tight integration to all of the applications, games, and tools that you have come to love on the Android platform. Infinite Flexibility and Connectivity While the jury is still out as to whether or not this 7 inch tablet is going to come loaded with an LTE option, people will be happy to know that the standard units will come with Wi-Fi connectivity and an upgraded model offers at least 3G connections. The Wi-Fi models will release first globally, with the wireless and cellular models rolling out later this year. You’ll also be able to enjoy Bluetooth in its latest version, as well as NFC technology that you can use to interact with any
